Tuesday Tactics: Communicate and Gain Understanding
1. Act as an Information Resource: Share SBA links for Disaster Relief and other State Disaster Resources. Here is the SBA link : Small Business Administration Disaster Links and here is a link to an Outdoor Industry Association Webinar on using SBA.
2. Communication Strategies: Remind Concessioners that, if they haven’t already, they will need to shift from traditional communication to multiple communication strategy (e.g. web, social, personal, automated, etc.) with their customers. Multiple vs. single channels is key.
3. Begin to Understand your Contract Options: Schedule meetings with Legal/Procurement to review Contract rights and with your Leadership to begin the discussion on Extensions/Fee Waivers.
Be thoughtful, disciplined, rational, and courteous in all concession business decisions considered. It will make a difference in the long run. There will be a next season and you want your concession partners to be there.
